Animal scandal instead of sporting performance
Moussa Sylla was still on the pitch for Schalke 04 on August 9 when his team lost 0-1 against 1. FC Kaiserslautern. A few days later, the 25-year-old went into the headlines away from the field: he is said to have simply left his three-year-old American Bully “Ghosty” with a dog father. This had already looked after the male several times. After picking up the animal from Sylla's house in June, she received no response from the family of the professional for weeks.
Only after a month did an employee of the association report – with the news that Sylla had “unfortunately God no longer used for the Ghosty”. Family reasons made the attitude impossible. Sylla's wife had already thought about a levy at the end of 2024.
Animal shelter reports possible violations
At the beginning of August, the supervisor “Ghosty” brought Essen. There it was found that important vaccinations were missing and that there was no vaccination pass. In addition, the dog is considered a so -called list dog, which requires an official approval for attitude. “Irresponsible what happens here,” commented an animal shelter spokeswoman.
The Düsseldorf regulatory office is now investigating. Sylla is said to have brought the animal to Germany from France without permission. He threatens a procedure according to the dog delivery and intake restriction law and the corresponding regulation. The incident increases the unrest in the environment of the association, which has started the season with sporting difficulties anyway.
