Pour (ots). On Saturday, November 15th, there was a traffic accident on the A 5 near Pohlheim in which a 38-year-old driver from France was injured. An ambulance took the woman to a nearby hospital for treatment, where she remained for two days to be treated for her injuries.
The French woman's badly damaged vehicle was no longer drivable and had to be towed away. The lady's dog was also in the vehicle. The dachshund survived the accident uninjured. Since no suitable accommodation could be found for the animal quickly, the officers first took the four-legged friend to the police motorway station in Butzbach. A motorway police officer looked after the dog after work and until the next evening, and it only responded to French commands. The police officer brought the dachshund back to the office for night duty the following day. There, the fur friend completed a one-day internship, so to speak, and was part of the duty group for the entire night shift at the motorway police station.
After the end of the night shift, the caring officer took the dachshund to his owner at the hospital after she was released there. The police officer also arranged for the French woman to receive her personal belongings that she could not take with her to the hospital in the ambulance. The dachshund then took a taxi back to France with his grateful owner.
