50 pet owners are giving away a total of 50,000 euros
Föhren/Trier. In November, an extraordinary project attracted attention far beyond Rhineland-Palatinate: the world's largest pet photo collage was created on the Vet-Concept factory premises. Over 5,000 people from all over Germany, Austria and Switzerland sent in photos of their dogs and cats – voluntarily, without a competition, without anything in return. What united them was their love for their animals.
An entire hall facade became a symbol of this community – thousands of looks, thousands of paws, thousands of stories united in a single area. The world record was officially recognized. But what no one suspected: the project would have a second, even stronger impact.
When images continue to have an impact
The harsh winter has now taken its toll on the huge facade film. Wind, rain and frost have left their mark. But instead of ending the chapter quietly, it will now be continued – more personal and moving than before. As part of a two-part roadshow, a total of 50 photos will be randomly drawn from the original world record collage – 25 motifs per date. These are carefully framed and delivered to their owners. A piece of history that will hang in the living room in the future – no longer on a hall wall. And that's not all.

Each of the selected animal owners can also hand over a donation check of 1,000 euros to a club of their choice. Whether it's an animal shelter, children's aid, hospice association or local sports club – the decision lies with the participants themselves. A total of 50,000 euros will flow into projects across Germany. “This world record was only possible because so many people took part – out of conviction and love for animals. With the fundraising campaign we want to continue this commitment,” says managing director Sebastian Schlatter.
A fair chance for everyone
Since February 27th, individual photos from the collage have been published regularly on the website and social media. Anyone who recognizes their animal has 48 hours to come forward. If there is no response, the next image is shown. It's worth checking out regularly – perhaps you'll soon have a piece of the world record hanging on your wall. A nationwide roadshow will start in April. The framed photos and donation checks will be handed over personally on site – together with the selected association. A record moment turns into an encounter. And from a collage a nationwide sign of solidarity.
What was impressive in the fall is now touching again: tens of thousands of animal lovers have written history together – and are now helping to continue writing it.
