Woopets info: who is Alaskan Klee Kai?
The Alaskan Klee Kai is a recent breed, developed in Alaska in the 1970s. Often compared to a miniature Siberian Husky because of its Nordic appearance, this dog was mainly selected to become a more “compact” family companion.
Lively, intelligent and very attached to his home, the Alaskan Klee Kai can however be reserved with strangers. Its alert temperament and great curiosity require good socialization, as well as a secure environment, as some individuals tend to run away easily when an opportunity presents itself.
Still not widespread in Europe, the breed is currently not recognized by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI).
