For some dogs, there's nothing more fun than rolling around in mud! Although they are soaked and dirty, they have absolutely no regrets about their actions. Here are some photos that show doggies happy to have found a muddy puddle… much to the chagrin of their adopter!
Our dog friends often behave in ways that make us laugh. Many of them experience the irresistible pleasure of rolling in the mud while walking in a park or forest. When they come out of the puddle, they are soaked and brown! For many owners, this habit means unexpected baths and paw prints all over the house.
A doggie usually acts out of instinct, pleasure, or just fun. Some canines gently lie down in the mud to rub their backs enthusiastically, while others dive into the puddle as if discovering treasure! This scene may seem absurd, but it often reveals a happy and relaxed animal. Sometimes our four-legged friends just enjoy the cool feeling of mud on their coat, especially when it's hot.
Note that rolling around in strong odors, such as damp earth, served their ancestors to mask their own smell. Today, pet dogs retain this instinct… and benefit from a good bath when they come home!
