In April 2026, American animal protection associations, including Big Dog Ranch Rescuehad obtained the release of 1,500 dogs, most of them Beagles. They were raised by Ridglan Farmsa company located in Blue Mounds in Wisconsin (United States), and intended for laboratories. Among the survivors is Junipera 7-year-old dog who was finally able to enjoy her first cuddles with her family.
Another of the rescued canines recently reported “resurrecting.” On the run and presumed dead following an alligator attack, he resurfaced against all odds and is once again in good hands, reported WMTV 15 News.
Replying on behalf ofOmelettehe had been adopted by a family following his rescue by Big Dog Ranch Rescuebased in Loxahatchee in Florida.
On Saturday June 6, around 6 p.m., the association learned that he had just escaped through an opening in the fence of his new house.
Shortly after, the body of a dog floating on the surface of a canal was recovered about thirty meters from the home. His coat was similar to that ofOmelette. So everyone thought it was him and that he had been killed by an alligator.
Against all odds, Omelette was found safe and sound 4 days later, on Wednesday June 4, while running across a road. It was quickly recovered by the team Big Dog Ranch Rescuebecause his adopter did not wish to take him back.
“Your kindness and dedication made it possible to find Omelette”
The Beagle will be entrusted to a foster family, while waiting to find him a forever home.
