This dog and her owner look for each other around a car, but turn in the same direction (video)

Having a dog is the assurance of experiencing unparalleled moments of joy and happiness, but also of having plenty of anecdotes to tell. And it's even better when it's filmed. It is certainly not Mollyaka “ @mollyjobling ” on TikTokwho will say the opposite, she who is lucky enough to count a magnificent Bernese Mountain dog among the members of her family.

Recently, Molly and her 4-legged friend were the protagonists of a particularly amusing scene which took place in front of the house and which was captured by the doorbell camera.

The young woman and the dog had just gone out. Molly left the animal at the door and went to throw something in the dumpster, then was surprised to find that her furry companion was no longer there. What she didn't know at the time was that the dog was behind her car.

The joy of reunion after a brief moment of anguish

Molly went around the vehicle, but his dog still evaded his gaze. And for good reason; she was also looking for her mistress and turning in the same direction, which meant that neither could see the other.

This hilarious little trick lasted a few seconds. Molly started calling her dog, not understanding what was happening, then she finally found her. This brief moment of anxiety and solitude quickly gave way to relief and laughter. The dog was also just as happy to see her owner again, as evidenced by the movements of her tail.

Molly posted the video on August 18, 2026 on TikTokwhere it went viral generating 1.7 million views. A sequence that relays PetHelpful and here it is:

Woopets advice: how to prevent a dog from taking advantage of a moment of inattention to wander away?

A dog can quickly disappear from sight, even in a matter of seconds. To limit the risks:

  • Work on the recall regularly, first in a calm environment, systematically rewarding the return with a treat or praise.
  • Keep him on a leash near a road or in an unsecured location, rather than relying solely on his obedience.
  • Check that its identification is up to date: the electronic chip does not allow you to locate a dog (the GPS collar, on the other hand, is useful in this regard), but it allows you to find its owner if the lost animal is taken care of by a veterinarian, a pound, the police or an association.
