For weeks, residents of a neighborhood Dallas (Texas) tried, in vain, to approach a stray dog who needed help. “ I'm so glad the whole neighborhood came together to make sure he was okay », was moved by an Internet user under a first video broadcast on TikTok and relayed by PetHelpful. Neighborhood dogs as reinforcement
On September 22, @thegoldenlifeofbrody and other neighbors came up with the idea of letting other neighborhood dogs help in their own way. Attracted by his peers in whom he trusted, Chip followed them into a garden, without any suspicion. It was the best way to start the rescue smoothly. It was then that he was finally able to be approached, reassured by the presence of the other doggies. The caption of the video even specified that he had become the leader of the group, despite his injured leg. We can also observe him happily frolicking with his new friends. The next day, he was taken to the veterinarian to treat his paw.
But the attention paid to Chip didn't stop there. He was treated to a well-deserved bath, but also to some tenderness, which helped him relax. Little by little, his confidence in human beings returned, thanks to the patience of @thegoldenlifeofbrody. After a few hours, he even accepted cuddles.
A family for life
On his account TikTok, @thegoldenlifeofbrody announced on September 24 that she was looking for a home for Chipwhere the doggie, aged around a year and a half and weighing almost 9 kilos, will be able to flourish and forget his life on the street. The young woman also specified that no significant medical treatment was necessary for her leg injury and that Chip didn't expect anything other than attention, stability and affection.
