To keep a souvenir of the paws of Boone and Beau, their 2 long-haired Dachshunds, the masters did not bring out a brush or modeling clay, but a pot of filler and an old frame. Their tip, relayed by PetHelpful, allowed the 2 doggies to leave their mark on a table like no other.
Rather than dipping the paws in paint or pressing them into clay or concrete, as is often done for this type of souvenir, the masters of Boone And Beautiful have bet on a product that we perhaps already have in the garage. An inexpensive way to transform their companions into artistic dogs.
The support? A framed work that was already lying around their house. They covered it with filler, this paste whose pink tint disappears once dry to give way to white.
Thick plastic then covered the still fresh layer, and it was time for the artists! Boone And Beautiful walked on it, their little paws imprinting themselves in the material.
Once the session was over, their masters carefully lifted the film, let the coating dry, then hung this unique piece on the wall.

An old frame, then a black canvas
The 2 Dachshunds seemed rather proud of their work, and their masters simply saw it as “ the cutest work ever », as they wrote in the caption.

Among the reactions, an Internet user even suggested adding 2 black fingerprints in a corner of the painting, as a signature, a suggestion that the author of the article PetHelpful intends to test it with his own dog.
This dog, however, weighs 40 kilos, and his mistress feared that he would go straight through the frame. So she went looking for a more suitable variant and found it on the account @worldofoscar7who reproduced the experiment with his Golden Retriever, Oscar.

Rather than a recovered frame, the mistress ofOscar opted for a small black canvas, in the center of which she spread a large rectangle of plaster.
Some treats to guide the paws
The mistress of Golden Retriever has also detailed his method, which consists of 3 steps:
- a good thickness of coating, distributed evenly on the support;
- a plastic film placed on top, on which the dog comes to walk its paws, treats to support and without counting;
- the film peeled off very slowly, then a complete drying time for the coating.
The resulting painting can make a nice gift for a dog lover as the holidays approach… or hang in your home, like a trace left by your 4-legged companion. With their little footprints, Boone, Beautiful And Oscar have in any case signed a work as original as it is personal!
