Dana was born in 2013 under unfortunate circumstances. The crossbred dog was mistreated for years by a negligent owner who tried to give her serious punishments. His stay at the SPA was life-saving, but extended over many years, much longer than was initially envisaged.
He “attached it to the radiator”
Dana lived a nightmarish daily life. A representative of the SPA explains to News that his master: “Tied her to the radiator, pretending that she didn't get along with the other dog in the house”.
Subsequently, the journey of Dana was marked by instability. Only recently has a truly happy ending emerged.
6 chaotic years
Dana was able to breathe when she arrived at the shelter, but later, she had to face a major disappointment. Indeed, the dog was adopted, but her adoption did not work because she did not manage to thrive.
Volunteers worked hard to find the ideal family, but these efforts took 6 years.
The real reward
Dana is a senior dog who suffers from deafness, so she has special needs that differ from a younger animal. According to the SPAhowever, she is still in good shape for her age. The shelter wanted to find him a family able to take care of his disability and offer him lightness on a daily basis. It is done, for the greatest happiness of all, Dana as his caregivers.
