When staying in an Airbnb Located in the mountains of Port Angeles, Washington State (United States), Hien and her husband were happy to find a comfortable cottage and beautiful views between adventures. They did not know that a dog was already waiting for them there: Pearl, their host's Labrador, was going to share their weekend, reported The Dodo.
It all started as soon as the couple parked in front of the property. A sable Labrador dog appeared and rushed towards them, as if she was waiting for them. Initially disconcerted, the travelers found the explanation in the welcome booklet left inside, where the animal was mentioned. According to Hithis booklet warned: “ Don't be surprised if a Labrador is too friendly with you. » He specified that it was the host's dog, who loves visitors.
A log brought back from the campfire
Responding on behalf of Pearlshe quickly became enthusiastic with her new friends and quickly asked them to play. “ Pearl took to me instantly, as if she had known me forever. », Confided Hi. The dog immediately nibbled his hand, then kept pressing her hindquarters against it to get petting.
She also had her own way of starting a game. Pearl went to get a log from the stock intended for the campfire, brought it back to Hi and went around inviting her to play. That first evening, the traveler and the Labrador played together.
Outside the door, then waking up at 6:30 a.m.
Every time Hi had to return to the accommodation, the dog waited in front of the door, as long as the traveler remained inside. “ Every time I had to go into the Airbnb to do something, she would wait outside my door the entire time I was inside. “, she explained.
The next day, the Labrador hadn't gone far either: very early in the morning, she was there to greet Hi. “ She was the first to greet me at 6:30 a.m. the next day… She knew that her sad face would make us go out and play with her », recounted the vacationer, who thus read the attitude of her playmate.
