  • Are the financial resources available to supply the animal in the event of illness?
  • Which animal shelter or animal welfare association should be adopted from and is it possible to contact the association if there are concerns or problems?
  • Is there the possibility to learn the four -legged friend sufficiently before, or even to trouble?
  • What can a vacation design with dogs look like or are there people around the animal who can and would like to take care of the animal during vacation periods?

Tips for a stress -free start to family life together
Create safe retreat: Even before moving in, a retreat for the dog should be created, where neither adults nor children are disturbed. A cozy basket in a protected place or in a quiet corner is ideal to relax and come to rest.

Give patience and relaxation: In the first few days, a lot of time should be planned to get used to the new home. It is important to speak calmly and gently to the four -legged friend and to reward the desired behavior positively. Loud noises can be avoided as well as hectic movements because they could scare the dog.

Keeping food: Since many dogs are very susceptible to stress -related diarrhea, it is advisable to clarify which food the new roommate has received in the animal shelter or animal protection association in the past. These can often be taken with them or worried in time to avoid a quick food change. If this is not possible, sensitive food is recommended.

Sure dog sufficiently: During the familiarization period, dogs should be sufficiently secured with a so -called safety dishes and a leash. This ensures that the animals do not run away if they are frightened.

Gentle walking/getting used to a permanent place to solve: Puppies are often overwhelmed by their environment and have difficulties outside. Here is a fixed place that is visited with the four -legged friend every round. If the dog puts feces or urine, it should be gently praised – be it through friendly words or a treat. Especially with dog children, it is advisable to get them outside regularly and especially after every meal or game unit. In this way you learn to make yourself easier and can quickly become house -trained.

Find dog school: It is advisable to look for a dog school, regardless of whether it is a puppy or adult dog. It is best to start training with the new official right at the start of the recording into the new home. In this way, any educational errors or uncertainties can be clarified and trained accordingly. It is also advisable to get the so -called dog driving license in order to acquire the necessary specialist knowledge about animal -friendly attitude and aspects such as communication and needs of the four -legged friends.

Routine provides security – mainly with puppies: Fixed times for food intake, calm, walks or even for playing dog children give security. Contact with other dogs and people is particularly important for socialization. This experience should always be positive without overwhelming or frightening the dog.
