Born June 5, 2017, Tiger was 2 and a half years old when he was abandoned by his former master. This crossed dog Staffordshire Terrier had then been collected by the SLPA ofAmancea town located near Nancy in Meurthe-et-Moselle.
More than 6 years of waiting
After spending more than 2,384 days in the shelter, Tiger still hasn't found a forever home.
“ Tiger came to us six years ago, after being abandoned, a difficult ordeal that marked his life. He was described to us as a very nice dog, but also a little stubborn. We quickly discovered that Tiger had lived in difficult conditions: he almost never went out and spent most of his time on a field, isolated », explains the dog biography present on the shelter’s website.
The SLPA is not ready to give up and launched a call for adoption on June 17 on its social networks.
He will need an educator
Classified as category 1 dog, Tiger is 9 years old. The shelter specifies that its future adopter will need a detention permit and an educator. “ He is responsive to bicycles, runners, quads, motorcycles and large vehicles, and will need to be accompanied by an educator. Cats are excluded and agreements with dogs will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. »
For this adoption, the SLPA planned to organize several meetings to ensure compatibility between Tiger and his future master. A commitment will also be required. “ We are not looking for a crush adoption in 15 minutes, we are looking for a person ready to invest. Several meetings will be essential before considering an adoption and a pre-investigation will be carried out before any action. »
An endearing dog
“ Adopting Tiger means offering a second chance to a dog who hasn't had an easy life. It allows him to discover the warmth of a loving home and the joy of finally feeling safe. »
