After a week in intensive care following a serious road accident, police dog Ryker has finally returned to his home, where he now continues to recover surrounded by his family. His return, greeted by a guard of honor in front of the veterinary clinic, aroused great emotion.
A week after coming close to the worst with his master, a police dog was finally able to leave the veterinary clinic and return home to continue his convalescence, reported WISN Monday August 3.
On Monday July 27, around 4:30 a.m., an accident occurred on the highway Interstate 41 in the state of Wisconsin (United States). The first to arrive on scene were Deputy Mindelfrom the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, and his response dog Rykera 6-year-old German Shepherd / Belgian Malinois cross.
The deputy Mindel was positioning his patrol vehicle to block the traffic lanes, divert traffic and thus protect the motorists involved in the accident when another car hit him head-on.
The driver later claimed he was distracted and tired after a long drive. However, the flashing lights of the deputy's vehicle Mindel were lit and visible from afar.
The dog and its owner were injured and had to be hospitalized. If the deputy Mindel was able to leave the hospital quickly, Rykerhe stayed longer in a veterinary clinic. He finally left her on Monday August 3.
