Together for more people and dogs in the workplace
Berlin. Good news for companies, employees and dogs alike: The Federal Association of Office Bunde invites all companies in German -speaking countries to celebrate the international office day together on June 20. At the same time as the global “Take Your Dog to Work Day” campaign, this occasion offers a wonderful opportunity to personally experience the positive effects of dogs in the work environment.
Scientific studies confirm that dogs at work reduce stress, increase satisfaction and productivity, strengthen employee loyalty and improve recruiting. In addition, the presence of relaxed dogs has a positive effect on interpersonal communication and thus creates a harmonious and motivating working atmosphere. Against the background of the recently published figures for the increase in the absence due to depression, office funds are becoming increasingly important, since they can help to reduce psychological stress in the workplace and to promote the mental health of the employees. Relaxed office funds can be an important part of the solution to strengthen the urgently needed psychological and physical resilience in the workplace.
For employers, the International Office Day is a great opportunity to present themselves as an attractive, innovative and animal -friendly employer and at the same time emphasize the importance of the well -being of the employees. It is also important to pay attention to the well -being of the dogs: sufficient water, suitable retreat and adequate employment ensure that the dog feels as comfortable in the office as its human colleagues. The dog is never a means to an end.
Companies who want to participate on the office day can register on the website of the Federal Association of Office. There is a free e -book with practical checklists available for optimal preparation and implementation. All participating companies also receive a nice certificate of participation and can equip themselves with a suitable outfit for this special day.
Markus Beyer, chairman of the Federal Association of Office, emphasizes the positive broadcast of this day of action: “The office and day day shows in a lively way how dogs can enrich the working atmosphere sustainably. Let us set a strong sign together and make the world of work a bit more human and dog-friendly.”
Participating companies are asked to take into account the needs of all employees and to make suitable preparations regarding health, hygiene and tolerance of dogs. Walks together during the breaks also offer an ideal opportunity to give the dog a nice break and at the same time strengthen the feeling of belonging together in the team.
