Messe Karlsruhe: BEAUTIFULLY good already in September

Karlsruhe. The TIERisch gut – trade fair for dogs and cats will take place in 2024 on the last weekend of September, on 28 and 29 September, at the Karlsruhe trade fair. Visitors can then expect the offer of around 200 industry exhibitors, the 82nd and 83rd International (IRAS) Karlsruhe purebred dog show and the noble cat show. A new feature in 2024 will be the first Dog Dancing Tournament in Karlsruhe with qualification for the European Championship and Crufts 2025.

The Baden-Württemberg State Association for Dogs (VDH) As a cooperation partner of TIERisch gut, it is organizing the 82nd and 83rd IRAS in Halls 2 and 3, where around 5,000 dogs from 250 breeds can be admired, and also brings its expertise in responsible dog ownership and breeding. TIERisch gut offers a variety of pedigree dog information stands, which, in addition to providing information about the characteristics and requirements of the various breeds, also provide information on dog training and education.

There is also a lot to learn and be amazed at at the Dog Dancing Tournament, also organized by the VDH, in the action hall of the Karlsruhe trade fair with participants from home and abroad. This includes, among other things, the qualification for the International Freestyle at Crufts in Birmingham, which is considered the largest dog show in the world and at which only one starter is allowed to represent his country. Another highlight of the tournament is the qualification for the European Open Championship 2025 in the categories Heelwork to music & Freestyle – here, absolute top-class dog dancing awaits the spectators.

Program in the dm-arena all about cats
The dm-arena has informative and entertaining things for cat lovers: Among other things, they can visit the noble cat exhibition of the 1st German noble cat breeders’ association (DEKZV) discover more than 200 cats a day or learn more about the nature of the animals and the amount of time and care required at the pedigree cat presentations in the Cat Forum. During the obstacle course training with the velvet paws Klara and Oskar, expert Anke Giesemann shares tips and tricks for keeping cats busy. Various specialist lectures in the Cat Forum also offer more interesting information: for example, they cover “Species- and type-appropriate play” or “Scratching – so much more than claw care”.

In addition to the portfolio offered by the associations, visitors can look forward to a wide selection of around 200 industry exhibitors. In addition to accessories, toys, food, medicine and care products, services relating to dogs and cats are also presented.
