During the month of April, many dogs were rescued from a breeder supplying laboratory animals. Goopa Beagle, is one of the survivors. Following his rescue, he was placed in foster care in Florida.
When he arrived, the furball was reserved and took a while to come out of his shell. Given the ordeals he endured, his behavior was completely understandable. However, the volunteers who welcomed her with open arms were not the only ones who helped her.

“It’s as if the Bulldog knows what he’s been through.”
As pointed out Pet Helpful, Goop was able to count on the support of the other protégé of his foster home, an English Bulldog named Kevin. When he keeps him company, the Beagle can finally relax. The 2 rescued dogs find comfort in each other!
In a video published on TikTokwe can see Goop comfortably seated on the sofa enjoying a good nap against his faithful friend. Since it was posted online, the clip has received more than 27,000 likes.
“ It's as if the Bulldog knows what he's been through. I love it! », Comments a user. “ Dogs know when someone needs comfort. They look out for each other », writes another user of the social network. “ Thank you for showing this little angel what kindness and love mean », Adds another person touched by this tender scene.
While waiting to find the adopters of his dreams, the little Goop continues to enjoy his second chance in foster care… and especially the comforting naps with his faithful 4-legged friend.
Woopets' advice: how to adopt a laboratory dog?
Lab dogs (usually Beagles or Golden Retrievers) have often only known cages, handling and a strictly controlled environment. They are generally gentle and non-aggressive, but can be very fearful when learning about family life. Most of them have never walked on grass, heard the sounds of the city, or learned how to live in a house.
To adopt this type of dog, you generally have to go through associations specializing in the rehabilitation of laboratory animals or even the SPA. Before you start, it is important to assess your availability, your budget and your level of patience. As a general rule, a doggie from a laboratory must learn everything (cleanliness, walking on a leash, interactions with other animals, trust in humans, etc.).
The first days following his arrival, we recommend that you be present at your home to help him gradually adapt to his new environment. Gentleness, routine and positive education are important. Keep in mind that some little survivors progress quickly, while others will need several weeks or even months to feel completely safe.
