Sunny and his companions in misfortune were held in narrow cages, the floors of which were strewn with excrement and urine. All of the dogs suffered from various health problems and had abnormally long claws, which dug into their paw pads.

“Sunny discovered what it means to live in a loving home”
Upon his arrival, Sunny was in critical condition and his life prognosis was in jeopardy. “He was in so much pain that he was completely paralyzed and it was unknown whether he would survive the mouth operation. He was immediately given antibiotics, painkillers and a daily infusion to provide the best possible relief. », writes the BC SPCAwhose staff noticed an improvement after a few days of treatment.
Once their condition has stabilized, Sunny and the other Dachshunds were placed with caring foster families, where they began to recover and relax. “ With time, patience and gentleness, they began to trust and open up, specifies the organization, Sunny discovered what it means to live in a loving home when he was placed with his foster family and his canine sister, Kenny. »
A happy and loved little dog
Since his surgery, Sunny only has 4 teeth left. Despite this significant loss, he is relieved of his pain and happy! Calm upon his arrival, he ended up revealing his true personality… A real ball of energy on a daily basis, who seems to want to make up for lost time!
The good news? The Dachshund has found his adoptive family for life.
