In Bernau in the Upper Bavarian district of Rosenheim there was a tragic incident on Friday morning: a dog broke away from his owner during a walk, followed a cat and finally killed her in the garden of a house. The police are now examining possible legal consequences.
According to the police, a woman was traveling at around 7.45 a.m. with her leashed dog on the outskirts of Bernau. Near a corn field, she slipped control of the animal, which then chased a cat. The persecution ended in the garden of a house on Bohlmoosstrasse, where the dog caught up in the animal and fatally injured.
The Prien police inspection has started the investigation. She is supported by the service dog handler relay of the central supplementary services in Bad Aibling. In addition to a possible criminal relevance, the officials also check whether the owner can be held responsible for the damage caused by the civil law.
