Rhinestones, sequins, celebrities… The mythical Cannes Film Festival makes you dream! As every year on the occasion of the most prestigious and most publicized cinematographic gathering in the world, Palm Dog will point the tip of its nose at the Croisette on May 22.
Founded in 2001 by British journalist Toby Rose and owned by Woopets since 2023, this dog-friendly event has become a real institution. Big names walked the red carpet, like Brandythe Amstaff of the film Quentin Tarantino, Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood ; or even Messi (Snoop), the Border Collie who amazed the jury with his incredible performance in Anatomy of a fall of Justine Triet.
25 years after its launch, the iconic Palm Dog goes beyond entertainment. It gives a real spotlight to the remarkable capacities of learning and understanding the best of Man, while paying primary attention to the well-being of animals on film sets.

After Panda, which dog will win Palm Dog 2026?
Last year, the Icelandic Shepherd of The Love we have left had won the hearts of the jury, made up of renowned film critics, such as Peter Bradshaw (The Guardian). Pipathe Jack Russell appearing in Sirat had also caused a sensation and won the Grand Jury Prize.
On the occasion of this 26e edition of Palm Dogseveral furry actors covet the famous red and chic necklace, made in the image of the most glamorous festival in world cinema.

Among the contenders this year, the highly anticipated My Duchess of Mike Newell highlights 3 Pugs who accompany the Duchess of Windsor (performed by Joan Collins) and embody the faithful comfort she found with them. Emotion is also there in the Chilean drama La Perra of Dominga SotomayorOr Yuria stray puppy, becomes the beating heart of the story after his adoption and disappearance, revealing the wounds of the heroine's past.
Canine actors are not left out. In Goodbye Cruel World of Felix de Givrya Labrador tracks down a missing child; while in the thriller Karma of Guillaume Canetthe dog Rolo and the German Shepherd Popeye offer magnificent close-ups and seduce the viewer.
Without forgetting Red Rocks And I See Buildings Fall Like Lightningin which the doggies play a key role alongside the main characters; as well as The Dull-Ice FlowerOr Cutie goes beyond its role as a pet to become a reflection of the solitude and innocence of the young protagonist.
