Abandoning an animal unfortunately means letting it fend for itself in a world that is not really made for it. A road to cross, a predator to avoid, the cold to face, or simply water and food to find… there is no shortage of dangers! For this poor rabbit found in the street, the story could have ended very badly. Fortunately, someone crossed his path and decided to give him a little paw.
A terrified and disoriented rabbit
It's hard to imagine what this rabbit must have felt when he found himself alone on the side of a busy road. No doubt accustomed to the presence of humans, he suddenly had to face a completely unfamiliar environment: noise, cold, cars… and above all, a whole lot of dangers. Disoriented and terrified, he could at any moment be struck or come face to face with a predator.

Fortunately, a passerby noticed this little ball of fur and, rather than continuing on her way, she decided to give him a hand. It took several attempts to approach him without frightening him further, but she finally managed to get him to safety, away from traffic.
Once safe, the little survivor was able to slowly regain his senses: a little warmth, water, a quiet place and above all a lot of gentleness. After such a fright, he deserved to take a breather!

A “chance to be saved”
After being sheltered, warmed and watered, the little rabbit was able to enjoy the calm and cuddles to regain confidence. His rescuer decided to keep him in foster care until his adoption, finally giving him the stability he needed. And the little survivor even chose his first name himself: Sprout.
“ Humans are so cruel. This beautiful boy was so lucky to be saved », writes his rescuer in the caption of the video of his rescue relayed by Cheezburger. “ I will become a foster family for this angel until he is adopted! », she adds, full of hope for the little ball of fur.
After receiving treatment, a possible health check and sterilization if necessary, he will be able to leave to meet his future family. After what he has experienced, we wish him one thing above all: a loving home that will definitely make him forget about abandonment!
