Leticia Leitao is a veterinarian in Brazil. Recently, she visited her aunt who lives in a rather remote rural town. While there, she decided to go for a morning jog.
As she ran in the middle of nowhere “, she started hearing puppy cries. She realized they were coming from an old leaky pipe that ran under the dirt road. However, the young woman could not see the young canine.

While she was trying, an adult dog appeared; it was his mother. She was very friendly and approached Leticia Leitao while wagging his tail. She didn't seem really worried about her little one, while the veterinarian thought he was in bad shape, trapped in the pipe.
However, when she was finally able to see the puppy inside, she realized that he wasn't stuck at all. He was able to get out without any problem on the other side of the conduit, which led to a fenced area below.
Encouraged by Leticia Leitaohe was able to sneak under the fence to join her and find his mother.
Thinking she was dealing with stray dogs, she decided to take them to her aunt's house to take care of them. She therefore resumed her jogging under good escort, the quadrupeds ahead of her as scouts. Their presence did not fail to reassure her, she who was alone on this completely deserted little road.

No rescue, but an unforgettable encounter
Arriving at her destination, she fed the dog and her puppy, then they quietly remained lying under the table while she ate lunch.
Afterwards, Leticia Leitao learned that these dogs were neither stray nor abandoned; they belong to another family who lives in the village. They have a habit of venturing off the property to explore the surrounding area.
So the vet took them home. Even if she didn't save them, she won't forget this wonderful encounter anytime soon.
