Willowdog Dalmatian 30 months old, gave his owner a big scare in the middle of a walk. The latter, not being able to move easily due to fibromyalgia, received help from 4 passers-by who did their best to get the dog out of her trap.

“I was absolutely distraught”
Lauren thought, that day, that she would never see her dog again. As they walked, the 29-year-old explained: “She left to do her own thing”. A few minutes later, a scream rang out. Lauren adds: “I heard Willow crying and found her at the top of the beach, blood coming out of her mouth”.
The dog panicked and kept screaming in pain. The hook still present in his mouth, Willow was rushed to a veterinarian.

An anxiety-inducing intervention
The risk of swallowing the hook was indeed present. “It was horrible. I cried my eyes out – I thought it might be the last time I saw her.”remembers Lauren with a lot of emotions.
During the procedure, a small piece of the dog's tongue was cut off. Sore from anesthesia, Willow found his mistress with relief when he woke up.
The veterinary care had a significant financial blow for the young woman, who had to borrow almost the entire amount, more than 500 euros, from her family.
A call for vigilance
This trying moment was accompanied by a lot of anger on the part of Laurenwho explains to Daily Post : “If anglers fish in public places they should take everything home with them, abandoned equipment can have devastating consequences”.
Indeed, if for Willow the hook remained at the level of his mouth, it could have been swallowed, which would have caused even more dramatic and harmful consequences.
