Bremerhaven fire brigade saves dog from the geeste

Bremerhaven (ots). On Wednesday, April 9, 5.40 p.m., the fire and rescue control center in Bremerhaven alerted the diving group of the professional fire brigade for animal rescue. For an unknown cause, a dog had fallen from the pier on the afternoon walk at the 'old Geeste Bridge'.

Due to the several meters of height difference between pier and water surface, it was not possible for the dog owners to free the animal independently from its predicament. The four -legged friend could be saved promptly with a inflatable boat and a savior in the survival suit and handed over to its owners unharmed.
