Two arctic foxes discover the world –
in cinemas from January 16, 2025
The documentary and nature film specialist Guillaume Maidatchevsky (“Ailo’s Journey”, “Lou – Adventure on Velvet Paws”) tells the story of the adventurous journey of two arctic foxes through the majestically wild and increasingly endangered wonder world of the Arctic Circle in spectacular images. The film was shot up close to the animals, which have to assert themselves in an environment that has changed due to mild temperatures. The result is an enchanting family film for young and old that celebrates the magic of nature and at the same time impressively shows its fragility.
The Arctic. Eternal ice that stretches endlessly and still across the frozen ocean. Surviving in this magical and unreal place is a challenge. Especially for Kina & Yuk, because the two little arctic foxes will soon be parents for the first time.
But the Arctic winters are no longer what they once were. The ice melts, and one day when Yuk goes hunting on the coast, he becomes trapped on a floating school of ice. Separated from each other, the two must brave all dangers and venture into unknown territories in the hope of finding each other again in time for the birth of their young. On their adventurous journey through majestic nature, the two brave arctic foxes encounter wild enemies, make unexpected friendships and even venture into the human world.
'The Adventures of Kina & Yuk' is a touching story about hope, friendship and unwavering love. Staged against a spectacular natural backdrop, the film takes you on a thrilling journey through a fragile world, full of surprises and wonders. An adventure for the whole family.
