PetHelpful looked back on the beautiful journey of this young dog named Suki. Her state of health was very worrying at the time of her rescue because she had dozens of ticks on her coat. Due to this dangerous presence on her skin, the dog was in a state of severe anemia.

Heavy treatment
Upon his arrival among the volunteers, Suki passed into the hands of the host mother who took care to remove the ticks, one after the other. Relieved, the dog still had to receive treatment to avoid infection, and also to stem her anemia due to this multiple infestation.
Very thin, the dog was very weak, but was then in the right place to be able to climb the slope as it should.

A real evolution
The effects of the treatment were visible after a few days. Suki gained weight, and started to become more active. Her resilience was praised by Internet users who saw her evolution on the Instagram account “ @redbuddogranch “. One of them comments: “She’s so cute!” She's a strong girl who faces what she's been through so far.”.
The most moving moment of the video is undoubtedly when we see the dog having fun with the other dogs in her foster family. It is even difficult to perceive the past pain of Sukiwho is having as much fun as his playmates.
Soon, the dog will be put up for adoption. His host family and Internet users wish him the best for the future.

How to remove a tick safely?
Particularly present between April and November, ticks represent a real danger for our pets, but also for ourselves. Our advice? Always keep a tick remover to safely remove the parasite. Then, use a rotating motion to remove the tick, without pulling sharply. After checking that the head has been extracted, disinfect. Monitoring must last for 3 weeks.
