Unusual use: dog on the roof

Osterholz-Scharmbeck (ots). The Osterholz-Scharmbeck volunteer fire brigade was used for a somewhat unusual use on Friday, February 14, 1:37 p.m. (Osterholz district, Lower Saxony) alarmed. Callers had reported a dog who was on the roof of a house in the garden road for a long time and could not leave it again. When the fire brigade arrived, the situation was confirmed.

Obviously, the dog had reached the sloping roof through an open window, had not been able to stay there and was now caught on the flat roof of a winter garden. There the black and white tibet terrier loudly announced his displeasure. Residents of the house were not present. Since the instructions could only be possible with the assumption of damage to the rain gutter, the fire brigade decided in consultation with the police. A fireman and a policewoman approached the dog in the aerial ladder. However, this was not comfortable and he managed to withdraw over the window, so that the fire brigade did not have to work any further.

Since a responsible person had appeared with a key to the house at the site in the meantime, the closure of all open windows could be ensured and further “excursions” were prevented. The emergency services moved back at 2:25 p.m.
