This book takes readers into the exciting world of smell – to the intersection of research and perception. It illustrates how dogs and people absorb scents, process them in their brains and experience them in a very personal way. Current scientific findings are explained in an understandable manner and combined with practical observations. The search does not appear as an isolated process, but as what it actually is: a complex interplay of smell, movement and decision. This opens up a new perspective on the impressive performance of the dog's nose. With a foreword by Dr. Udo Ganslosser.
