Abandoned, in all likelihood, due to his illness, a dog was offered a new chance thanks to an association, a foster family and the solidarity of the local community, reported FOX8.
The canine in question is a Pitbull cross named Huxter. He had been discovered by animal officers when he had been tied to a post Clevelandin Ohio (United States). His rescuers realized that he was suffering from a large tumor distorting his face.
He was examined in a veterinary clinic, and the prognosis was unfortunately not encouraging. However, the people who care for him today want to ensure that what remains of his life is as joyful as possible.
Starting with Paige Kinneyhis foster mother. “ He still chews bones, he plays with toys, and he breathes better than some purebred dogs, so I can't say his quality of life is poor », indicates the latter, who had heard of her story through the association Fido's Companion Rescue.
“ When I saw his pictures and everything else, I had a completely different opinion about it, then I met him and that changed very quickly “, says the volunteer, who quickly realized how much the joy of living of Huxter is big.
“He’s going to experience more than most dogs experience in their entire lives.”
The other dogs of Paige Kinney welcomed him with open paws, and he quickly made a special place for himself within the pack. Dogs which are also all “foster fails”, in other words, adopted by the woman who was only supposed to keep them temporarily.
Fido's Companion Rescue now invites the community to draw up a wish list for Huxteras well as sending donations to finance the activities offered and its care.
It didn't take long for ideas for adventures to come in, and neither did financial contributions. The association will work to study all of this to put in place a program of fun and exciting experiences for Huxter.
“ There are lots of great suggestions for her wish list and we can't wait to make them happen. He's going to experience more than most dogs experience in their entire lives, so I think it's really special for him », concludes Paige Kinney.
