Victim of an act of vandalism having compromised a long-awaited project for its canine residents, the Epernay Refuge was able to count on a tremendous outpouring of solidarity. In just a few days, public mobilization made it possible to raise the funds necessary to replace the stolen equipment, repair the damage and continue the development of this space dedicated to the well-being of dogs.
The thefts and destruction in question had just affected the park project intended for the shelter's dogs. The site had begun to be built on land made available by a local champagne producer for a period of 10 years. The initiative also benefits from the support of the 30 Million Friends Foundation.

This is a “ secure place where they could run, play, exercise, discover new environments and simply enjoy moments of happiness far from the shelter gates », indicates the Epernay refuge. Many people had worked hard for months on this park.
More than 5,000 euros raised thanks to the prize pool
Although “ sad, angry and deeply discouraged “, the members of the shelter refuse “d'give up. Because our dogs deserve these spaces of freedom. Because they deserve that we continue to fight for them despite the obstacles. »
The amount raised will make it possible to “ replace the stolen equipment, secure the land again (as well as) the continuation and completion of the project for our animals. »
