Attentive drivers helped the police
Seligenstadt (ots). It is thanks to an attentive and helpful driver, prudent road users and ultimately the police that a small white four -legged friend on Saturday morning on Autobahn 3 near Seligenstadt could be saved.
Already on Friday, February 28th and on Saturday morning, March 1st, several reports went to the police in Seligenstadt (Hesse) A that a free-range dog was first spotted in Hainburg, then in Seligenstadt-Froschhausen and most recently in Seligenstadt at a large nursery. According to the callers, the dog could not be captured.
A patrol of the Seligenstadt police station was found on Saturday morning along the Landesstraße 3121 near the nursery near Seligenstadt. Here, too, the attempts to attract the dog using the feed brought with them failed. Instead, the dog ran over the Seligenstadt junction on the Autobahn 3 towards Frankfurt and initially stopped on the stand and green strip. A sporty official then continued on foot. An attentive and helpful car driver recognized the situation and spontaneously took the official with him. Other road users on the highway had recognized the dangerous situation and braked on their own as that the traffic was completely in the place. However, the Agile four -legged friend used this to walk over the entire road on the median, where he could then be secured between the concrete walls of the two lanes with the active with the help of the driver, who had taken the police officer with him.
The law enforcement officer and the visibly exhausted dog were “picked up” by another patrol. The dog owner, who had learned about detours on social media that her run -up dog was running around in the Seligenstadt area, reported to the police. The dog and the owner do not come from the Seligenstadt area, so that it had previously had no knowledge of which area her dog was in. The four -legged friend was handed over to the lucky owner.
The police thanks the attentive road users and in particular the helpful driver who had actively helped to secure the dog. Since the man's personal details are not known, the police asks the man to report to the guard of the police station in Seligenstadt on 06182 8930–0.
