Pet fair Fellnasen & Friends 2026

Schleswig-Holstein's pet fair uses specialist partnerships to provide new impetus for animal welfare

Husum. “Fellnasen & Friends” will take place in Husum for the second time on March 7th and 8th. The focus will remain unchanged in the next edition of the only pet fair of this kind in Schleswig-Holstein: “We want to create awareness for animal welfare, sustainability and the loving coexistence of humans and animals,” says Jolina Krampe, responsible project manager for Fellnasen & Friends at the Husum & Congress fair. The collaboration with clubs and experienced partners for the exhibition area and the supporting program is currently being further expanded.

The social media channels of Fellnasen & Friends already show what the consumer fair stands for: interesting products and services as well as useful tips and background knowledge on the health, well-being and care of your own pets.

Specialist partnership with a committed professional association
Pet fair Fellnasen & Friends - dog shoppingIn order to provide in-depth knowledge transfer during the trade fair, a specialist partnership with IBH e. V., “International Professional Association of Dog Trainers & Entrepreneurs”, closed. The trade association supports Fellnasen & Friends with professional know-how about dog training, behavior and body language and relies on modern knowledge transfer. The association imparts valuable knowledge to trade fair visitors through pragmatic lectures and educational material. Christiane Jacobs is also part of this partnership with her project “Speak Dog ®”, which primarily promotes the understanding of dogs’ body language signals. “These partners fit perfectly with our goal of improving everyday life with our animal friends in a well-informed manner,” emphasizes Jolina Krampe. The absence of the presentation of breeding animals also remains a unique selling point of the Husum pet fair.

Colorful program for animal fans big and small
The young trade fair format all about animal welfare had already thrilled 4,200 animal fans big and small in its first edition and attracted them to the trade fair in Husum. Jolina Krampe again: “We are the only pet fair of this kind in northern Germany and we want to secure this status. And of course we will expand the event little by little.” An increase in the exhibition space is already foreseeable. In the exhibition hall, a wide variety of companies present healthy food, original accessories, care products and innovative equipment. There are also services ranging from insurance to sensitive animal burial. Several animal protection associations such as the Rabbit Aid Nordfriesland or the Guinea Pig Friends Germany are available to offer visitors advice and support.

The upcoming Fellnasen & Friends should once again be a “big all-round package” for the whole family, according to the project manager. The weekend event once again focuses on the demonstration of dog sports on a show area and offers owners space for breaks with snacks and drinks. Of course, you can also bring your own dogs to the trade fair. There are also areas reserved outside for them to take a break. The prerequisite for the four-legged companion is that a current vaccination certificate can be presented and the dogs brought with them can easily cope with a trip into the hustle and bustle of the trade fair. Jolina Krampe concludes: “Fellnasen & Friends is a meeting place for people who love animals. Like-minded people who see their pet as part of their family meet here in a special atmosphere.”
