When he was at the shelter, his extreme shyness and fear meant that he remained motionless in his box for a long time. In foster care, the 13-year-old quadruped benefited from a completely different environment, even if it took him time to come out of his shell.
“ I knew there was still so much love and life left in this sweet boy. Even in this state, he would approach to have his head scratched. That's when I understood that he was ready to trust “, tell ” @bigfluffytales “.
The foster mother filmed the emotional moment when Cloud finally found the courage to approach her, on his own initiative, in search of interaction.
“Seeing him become himself again was one of the most beautiful things ever”
She shared this video on May 23, 2026, on TikTok, where it generated over 500,000 views. A sequence that relays Pet Parade and here it is:
@bigfluffytales Cloud is our 13-year-old senior that no one wanted. He was found on the side of the road, & by the time he made it to the shelter, he was emotionally shutting down. Staff told me there were days he didn't even want to get up to go outside. The moment I saw him, I knew there was still so much love & life left in this sweet boy. Adam & I brought him home to foster, & he was absolutely terrified. His little body trembled from fear, yet even in that state, he still leaned in and asked for head scratches. That's when I knew he was open to trust. Before working with him, I regulated my own nervous system first, then began gentle somatic work with Cloud. Within 24 hours, everything started to change. He began prancing when I called his name, wagging his tail, wanting to play, wanting connection. Then this happened on day 3. With fearful dogs, trust is everything. While I was laying down, Cloud kept circling the console table in our quarantine room, so I pulled out my phone & started recording, the rest spoke for itself. I'm beyond grateful this 13-year-old boy is now part of our lives. Watching him come back to himself has been one of the most beautiful things to witness. He's doing incredibly well. #dogsoftiktok #doglife #doglover #dog #seniordogsoftiktok
